Nel secondo trimestre ( aprile maggio e giugno) si legge per GSK:
Sales from the HIV medicines division rose to 1.15 billions $ , with the U.S. up 37% and Europe up 28%, GSK said. The growth was driven primarily by continued strong performances from both Triumeq and Tivicay, with sales of 600 millions $ and 300 millions $ respectively.

Genvoya has become the most prescribed regimen for both treatment-naive and switch patients.
Nevertheless, HIV and other antiviral product sales came in at $3.1 billion, up 14.8% from the year-ago period. This increase was primarily due to recently launched tenofovir alafenamide (TAF)-based products, Genvoya. Increased use of truvada for HIV prevention and HIV treatments Truvada (up 11% to $942 million).

Interessante e' che truvada perde il passo nei S+ in quanto e' rimpiazzato col il nuovo TAF (visto che truvada e' piu' tossico per le reni) ma aumenta nei S-..... un po' un controsenso perche' nei S- dovrebbero dare Un farmaco piu' tollerabile. Comunque , dicono che gilead tentera' di far approvare il nuovo truvada con il TAF per i S- ma ancora non si hanno studi definitivi

"I reni", non "le reni" (come dice quell'ignorante di Vasco Rossi).

Non mi sorprende comunque, dato che probabilmente tutti quelli che erano in terapia con Eviplera (da voi Complera) e altre terapie contenenti il Tenofovir sono passati a terapie con il TAF.

E non mi stupisce neanche che ai sieronegativi diano il Truvada, dato che tra poco scade il brevetto e soprattutto non c'è necessità di cura perchè sono sani.
